At least 50 people have been killed in less than a month in Colombia's oil-rich Arauca region bordering Venezuela.
The new conflict involves the National Liberation Army and dissidents of the now-defunct FARC rebels.
As Al Jazeera's Alessandro Rampietti reports from Saravena, people are terrified by the attacks, kidnapping and killings.
