From Texas all the way to New England, a vicious winter storm is wreaking havoc across the United States. Heavy snow and fierce winds have closed highways, cancelled flights and knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of people.
The outages also come at a critical time, as temperatures turn bitter cold for millions. During another weather crisis in early 2021, Texas' power grid froze up for several days, making it the worst energy infrastructure failure in the state's history. More than 200 people died then, but the governor is promising the grid is better winterized for the situation now. Jennifer Johnson reports on conditions.
