Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has held a call with Canada's premiers, and the Omicron surge was at the top of the agenda.

The teleconference was held on Tuesday with many of the country's provincial and territorial premiers it was their first meeting since mid-December, and since the omicron variant pushed case counts and hospitalizations to record highs.
