Concerns are rising among some health workers, as Canada reports another uptick in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

The province of Ontario is already seeing a notable spike in new infections. COVID-19 hospitalizations reported there on Monday are up roughly 30 per cent compared to a week ago.

But Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the "little spike" is manageable.

As Jamie Mauracher reports, public health measures are vanishing while the World Health Organization warns of a new, highly transmissible variant called XE.
