A snap federal election has been avoided for now, but the opposition is continuing to push for answers from the Canadian federal government about its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It wants a committee formed that would have sweeping powers to call cabinet members as witnesses and force the government to hand over thousands of documents.
The Liberals say the motion is so broad, it would paralyze their handling of the second wave. Mike Le Couteur explains.
