The federal opposition parties have voted in favour of a Conservative motion to investigate the Liberals' handling of the pandemic.

The Liberals did not consider it a confidence motion, meaning there will be no looming federal election with this vote.

But as Mike Le Couteur explains, the Liberal government says such a probe could impede Canada's ability to procure COVID-19 vaccines and personal protective equipment.
