Junior doctors vote in favour of more strikes

The BMA union has said that 98.37% of junior doctors have voted in favour of further strike action in a reballot, and announced the strike dates.

Consultants and junior doctors will walk out in an act of joint action on September 20, and again on October 2, 3 and 4 - all with "Christmas Day" cover.

Sky's health correspondent Ashish Joshi says this is "quite significant news" as it will mark the first time junior doctors and consultants go on strike together.
