NHS strikes: First joint strike by consultants and junior doctors in history of health service

The NHS is expected to see a Christmas Day level of staffing, as both consultants and junior doctors go on strike, which marks an escalation of the pay dispute between the government and doctors.

Emergency care will be covered throughout, but bosses say patients are still in danger - as Health Correspondent Ashish Joshi reports.
