Things got lively during question period in the House of Commons on Monday when Conservative MP Jasraj Singh Hallan referred to Liberal minister of families, children and social development Karina Gould as "Dr. Seuss," while posing a question on the Liberal's price on carbon.

"I actually read Dr. Seuss quite a bit with my son at night and he has some pretty good lessons. One of those lessons is about protecting the environment when he talks about the truffula trees," Gould retorted.

Conservative Garnett Genuis focused on McKinsey & Company, which the House of Commons government operations committee is currently digging into contracts awarded to the company since 2011 following media reports showing a rapid increase in the company’s federal contracts under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government.

"Will the prime minister accept responsibility for bringing McKinsey into our immigration system?" Genuis asked.
