Canada’s vaccine rollout is moving slowly, but steadily forward. Twenty-nine per cent of Canadians have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and three per cent have received both doses.

The government is expecting a big boost in deliveries this week, with nearly two million more doses expected. Included in that number is the first shipment of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

There are also hopes the U.S. could provide Canada with some of the 60 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine it has promised to share with the world.

As Abigail Bimman explains, for pharmacies in Ontario the ramp up cannot come soon enough.
