Speaking to supporters and party faithful early on Tuesday morning, Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet told supporters that his party will continue to advocate for issues important to Quebec as the 2021 federal election seemed to return a similar result to the 2019 election.
“No one should fear the Bloc Quebecois,” Blanchet said in a speech late on Election Night. “What is good for Quebec will be supported by the Bloc Quebecois. What is bad for Quebec will be fought by the Bloc Quebecois.”
Blanchet is projected to win his riding of Beloeil—Chambly in the 2021 federal election.
