Budget: Government 'right' to extend energy price cap guarantee

Shadow chief secretary to the Treasury Pat McFadden has welcomed the government's plan to extend the energy price cap guarantee.

Speaking to Sky News, he said the policy is "one of a number of things" his own party has called for in the past, claiming there is a "pattern" of the Tories adopting Labour's policies.

The government already confirmed ahead of the budget that energy support is to continue for an extra three months.
