Autumn Statement: Energy price guarantee will continue

Jeremy Hunt says that the "discipline shown" through the autumn statement "means we can provide targeted support to help our most vulnerable citizens with the cost of living".

The Chancellor says he will stick with former PM Liz Truss's plan to spend £55bn to help households and businesses with energy bills, saying: "This will mean an average of £500 support for every household in the country".
