The ongoing B.C. port worker strike entered its seventh day on Friday, and with cargo piling up, an apparent end to this labour action is still not in sight.

After beginning their labour action over concerns about wages, contracting and automation, hundreds of workers under the ILWU union rallied on Thursday.

An estimated $3.5 billion worth of goods remain stuck in the ports of B.C. as a result of the strike, increasing pressure for the federal government to get involved, and for negotiations to conclude.
