Barbie is recognizing some incredible women internationally who have worked very hard in the fight against COVID-19 in the last year and a half. Mattel, the owner and manufacturer of Barbie, selected 6 frontline heroes internationally who worked exceptionally hard in the fight against COVID-19 and dedicated dolls to them. They each had a chance to design the doll to their likeness. Toronto doctor Chika Stacy Oriuwa was the only Canadian chosen by Barbie for the International Dream gap program.
