'Asylum is a privilege and shouldn't be abused' - Immigration minister

Immigration minister Robert Jenrick has said the Bibby Stockholm barge is a "safe facility" and that he is "confident" the government will reduce the legacy asylum backlog.

When asked about the government's approach to asylum seekers, Mr Jenrick said: "We believe asylum is a privilege and it shouldn't be abused, the Labour Party view this as a different matter."
