The United Nations refugee agency and other rights groups have condemned the United States for expelling migrants and refugees to southern Mexico.
From there, they are taken by bus into Guatemala.
It is part of an effort to deter people from crossing into the US illegally.
The Biden administration has said the expulsions are necessary to keep US detention centres from becoming overwhelmed during the coronavirus pandemic, which they have argued would create a risk for government workers, migrants and the public.
