Travellers should brace themselves for a winter of rail disruption, the head of the train drivers' union Aslef has warned.

Mick Whelan told MPs yesterday he believed a deal to halt strike action was further away.

Today he told Kay Burley his board were meeting next week to decide on a course of action.

Along with Aslef, RMT members have held regular walkouts over several months in a dispute over pay and conditions.
