Armenians are protesting due to their government's handling of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Anti-government demonstrators have taken to the streets of the Armenian capital Yerevan for a third day to protest against the government's handling of the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh. Demonstrators say the government has made too many concessions to Azerbaijan and are demanding their Prime Minister resign. Ethnic Armenian separatists in the Nagorno-Karabakh region agreed to dismantle their forces on Thursday, following a 24 hour military offensive by Azerbaijan.

The UN is calling for more dialogue between ethnic Armenian separatists in Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan after the first round of talks ended without agreement.

Both parties traded accusations at an urgent UN Security Council meeting on Thursday. The Armenian side said Azerbaijani forces had violated a ceasefire, while Azerbaijan insisted Armenia was peddling disinformation to the international community.

Western powers are calling for security guarantees in Nagorno-Karabakh -- as many of the region's majority Armenian residents seek shelter.
