Argentina's Senate will vote on Tuesday on abortion, an issue that has divided the Catholic nation for decades.
The lower house of Congress has already voted in favour of legalising the procedure, which would allow interruption of pregnancies until the fourteenth week.
Health authorities say at least half a million irregular abortions happen every year in Argentina and many women end up in hospital because of complications.
