The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and city police are investigating allegations of abuse at Oakview Place personal care home in Winnipeg.
The health authority said Tuesday the allegations date back to February and involve two or more employees at the long-term care home run by Extendicare.
The WRHA said they were notified about the allegations by a whistleblower June 10 although the company acknowledges it had been aware of the allegations since February.
The WRHA say they’ve notified Winnipeg police, who are conducting a criminal investigation.
A police spokesperson confirmed to Global News they are investigating but wouldn’t release further details.
