A man charged in the death of a woman whose body was found in a Winnipeg garbage bin has been charged in three further homicides, police announced at a press conference on Thursday.

Back in May, 35-year-old Jeremy Anthony Michael Skibicki was charged with first-degree murder after the remains of 24-year-old Rebecca Contois were found near an apartment building in a back lane in the 200 block of Edison Avenue.

The new homicide victims include Indigenous women 39-year-old Morgan Beatrice Harris and 26-year-old Marcedes Myran — both from Long Plain First Nation and were living in Winnipeg — as well as another woman who has yet to be identified.

Police have released descriptions of the fourth unknown victim and images of a winter jacket they believe to have belonged to her, in hopes of identifying the individual through the public’s help.
