In his first meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden since becoming prime minister, Israel’s Naftali Bennett offered his condolences on Friday a day after the Kabul attack that killed scores of Afghans and 13 U.S. service members.
“American service members lost their lives while on a mission to save other people’s lives, and that’s the very definition of courage and sacrifice,” he said
Biden said evacuation efforts in Kabul would continue despite the attack on Thursday and that an additional 12,000 people were brought to safety in the past 24 hours.
“We will complete the mission,” he said.
