Japan plane fire: Japanese PM offers 'condolences and gratitude'

Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has confirmed five of the six crew on the coastguard plane died after it collided with a Japan Airlines aircraft on the runway at Tokyo's Haneda Airport.

He extended his condolences to those lost their lives while trying to get help to people affected by the country's earthquake.

He also expressed his "heartfelt gratitude" for the efforts to evacuate all 379 people from the burning passenger plane.
