Martine Moïse, The wife of slain Haitian president Jovenel Moïse, paid tribute to her husband during a funeral service in Cap-Haitien on Friday.
Moïse was gunned down at his home in Port-au-Prince on July 7, in an attack allegedly carried out by a group that included 26 Columbian former soldiers, at least six of whom had previously received U.S. military training. Haitian Americans were also among the accused.
Martine Moïse called her husband a “brilliant, emotional and creative soul.”
"He stole my heart," she said, adding that he always looked “to do more, to do better.”
