Residents of Myanmar’s capital city, Yangon, protested against the recent military coup for a second consecutive night, banging pans, plastic bottles and the like, as the country’s army ousted the ruling National League for Democracy and declared a state of emergency in response to alleged fraud during November’s legislative elections.
