The Spanish Football Federation has sacked the coach of its women's team, Jorge Vilda, barely two weeks after the team won the World Cup.

Vilda has been replaced by Montse Tomé, who is the first woman to have the job.

The nation's spectacular World Cup victory was marred by its Football Federation President Luis Rubiales kissing a player on her lips during celebrations - which she says was not consensual.

Al Jazeera’s Dmitry Medvedenko reports.
