Celebrations erupted in Doha, Qatar and in Croatia’s capital of Zagreb after the team defeated Morocco 2-1 to claim third place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Mislav Oršić scored the decisive goal to the delight of fans, securing Croatia’s spot in the top three.

“We are a small nation but very, very proud, playing with a lot of patience and that is the result we got,” said one fan.

This is the second consecutive finish in the top three for Croatia after they lost the 2018 final to France.
