Tiger Woods is reported to be awake and recovering in hospital after surgery on serious injuries to his right leg.

A metal rod has been put in his leg, with screws and pins reinforcing his ankle and foot.

"If there's any individual in the world that can come back from this, it's certainty Tiger," says former PGA champion Rich Beem.
