A study released this week in the Canadian Medical Association Journal shows young users of cannabis are more at risk for heart attacks.

The study is based on surveys done in the U.S. with people 18 to 45 years old.

Authors of the study say people who consume cannabis in higher amounts are more at risk. Cannabis use has increased with young adults, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic according to experts.

Global’s Sharmeen Somani reports.
