Why do Canadian ISIS women rarely face charges back home?

Around 100 Canadians are suspected of leaving Canada to join the so-called Islamic State, (ISIS), during its war in Syria and Iraq.

Of those, around 20 are women, and many of them have since been arrested and brought home to Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.

But unlike their male counterparts, ISIS women have rarely faced criminal charges in Canada. Global's Jeff Semple explains what could be behind the disparity.
