The skies above the French capital Paris are now an unlikely battleground between the city's police chief and professional drone operators.
Drone companies are accusing police of a vindictive campaign to force them out of the air.
Some have said it is revenge for a 2020 court decision prohibiting Paris police from using drones to monitor protests.
