In recent days, three different vaccines against coronavirus infection have been unveiled — each appearing to show huge promise.

The latest, a vaccine developed by Astra Zeneca and scientists at Oxford University, is expected to be relatively cheap and easy to store.

The UK government has pre-ordered 100 million doses of this vaccine and their are hopes that it will quickly gain regulatory approval.

So how can medical experts be certain of the safety of a vaccine that has been developed so quickly? How soon can people in the UK expect to be vaccinated? And how will the government determine who gets priority?
