The Rogers wireless outage on Monday had a major impact on small businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, leaving many in communities under lockdown unable to reach customers – resulting in a hit to their bottom line.

Rogers has apologized for the outage, blaming it on a recent software update from network partner Ericsson.

The company has promised to undertake an in-depth review in partnership with Ericsson to prevent similar issues from happening again. Anne Gaviola reports on the compensation available to customers.
