As cyber crimes continue to mount in Canada, more companies are beginning to offer personal cyber insurance that could help with a range of issues including extortion, unauthorized account access and even cyber bullying.
According to Statistics Canada, police reported cyber crimes nearly hit 74,000 in 2022 — an increase from 2018 when just 33,893 cases were identified.
