Western University students in London, Ontario protest "culture of misogyny" in campus walkout

Thousands of students walked out at Western University Friday to show their support for victims and survivors of gender-based violence.

It comes after a string of sexual assault allegations came to light last week. Police this past Tuesday said no one had come forward with a formal complaint. However, Western officials have also confirmed four other formal complaints of sexual violence from students filed during the first week of school, though they do not appear to be related to the weekend events.
