WATCH: Secret Service provided Trump team additional resources before rally shooting, Cheatle says

House Oversight Committee chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., asked the head of the U.S. Secret Service whether the detail for former President Donald Trump requested additional resources ahead of the July 13 campaign rally that later became the site of the first presidential assassination attempt in decades.

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said the agency provided the requested assets for that day.

Cheatle appeared before a House panel Monday to answer questions about the attempted Trump assassination.
