Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., said fear has stopped her from speaking about her experience narrowly escaping the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. But in an interview with PBS NewsHour's anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff she said that fear cannot be what runs our country -- "we have to be a country that runs by strength, not by fear."

When asked what she would tell her colleagues who say they don't think the president should be convicted for his role in the attack, Murray said she would tell them "Do not let fear be what makes us do the right thing in this country... Speak up for our democracy now, or you may lose it forever,."
