A powerful windstorm swept through southeastern Alberta on Monday, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.
As many as five homes were damaged as the storm ripped through the area, according to one official with Cypress County.
One couple lost their home, but say they were fortunate to be living with her parents. However, she said the storm destroyed the family’s business.
“Their shop is completely gone, debris everywhere. Thank God all the animals are okay,” said Jessica Nygaard.
There have been no reports of any injuries or missing people. Dallas Flexhaug reports from the affected area.
