A paramedic bike squad in Vancouver hopes to expand to a year-round initiative as B.C. marks the five-year anniversary of a public health emergency declared due to the overdose crisis. The team, which normally operates from May to October, cycles through Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, responding to emergency calls and seeking out those who need treatment.
