U.S. vetoes Algerian resolution for 'immediate' ceasefire in Gaza

The United States has vetoed an Algerian resolution at the United Nations Security Council calling for an 'immediate humanitarian ceasefire' in the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. The U.S. has its own draft resolution calling for a temporary ceasefire in Gaza 'as soon as practicable.'
