US nuclear sub crashes in S. China Sea – US silent (Full show)

The USS Connecticut, a Wolf-class nuclear attack submarine hit an unknown underwater object in the South China Sea only a few days ago. More than a dozen sailors were injured in the collision but none killed. RT America’s Alex Mihailovich has the details. Then former Naval intelligence officer John Jordan joins Rick Sanchez to share his expertise. He says that the area, with constant commercial navigation, nearby military exercises and China’s development of its shoals into artificial islands makes it unsurprising that maritime debris was present and explains how the passive SONAR technology used on modern submarines resulted in the collision. He also notes that Beijing has seized the opportunity to put pressure on the US to divulge its submarine secrets.

A deadly explosion at a Shia mosque in northern Afghanistan killed and injured dozens of worshippers during Friday prayers. It is the deadliest attack since the US withdrawal. It was the third deadly attack this week targeting places of worship. ISIS-K, extremists opposed to Taliban rule, is believed to be responsible. RT America’s John Huddy has more.
