Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar on Thursday said that the race for the White House was "very close" in the state.

She said the hope is that there will be enough ballots counted before the end of the night to see who the winner is, but with how close it is, that will mean more time may be needed before a winner is definitively determined.

Boockvar also said that residents have had more ways to vote than ever before, but that they all have strong processes in place to ensure voter security and election integrity are "constantly followed."

As of Thursday afternoon, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada are still close to call, with some officials saying it could take until the end of the week to count all the ballots.
