As Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden made a campaign stop in Ohio on the last day of campaigning before election day he commented on remarks made by President Donald Trump in which he suggested Sunday he'd fire Dr. Anthony Fauci if he wins re-election. Biden said if elected, he would hire Fauci and said Americans would "fire Donald Trump."
It was one of several stops for Biden on Monday, with more stops planned for Pennsylvania, seen as one of the key battleground states in the election. Vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris was also in the state to drum up support, commenting that the state could decide the election in a vote that "is going to decide the future of our country for generations."
Former president Barack Obama was also on the trail in Georgia, a state that hasn't gone for Democrats since Bill Clinton's first election in 1992. Obama said he got a call to head to Georgia and joked that he apologized to former First Lady Michelle for having to go to the state, calling it a "big deal." Obama also commented on Trump's remarks about firing Fauci, telling people, "don't boo, Vote."
