The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) met on Wednesday to talk about the Iran nuclear deal resolution, following Western accusations of violations by Russia and Iran.

Russia requested the meeting and wants UN legal affairs to brief its interpretation of the mandate of the 2015 resolution.

The move came after Ukraine, the United States, France and Britain asked UN chief António Guterres to investigate accusations that Russia has been using Iranian drones in Ukraine.

Russia says Guterres has no mandate to investigate the claims.
