UN aid delivery to Syria: Hospitals in rebel-held areas struggle

The United Nations says it is alarmed by "unacceptable conditions" set by the Syrian government for aid trucks to cross the border from Turkey.

The Bab al-Hawa crossing has been closed since Monday. It is one of three border crossings that channel the majority of UN deliveries to Syria.

But the UN Security Council has failed to renew authorisation to continue delivering aid supplies to rebel-held areas.

This directly affects four million Syrians, and many hospitals are struggling to operate because of aid shortages.

Al Jazeera’s Nour Qormosh reports from Idlib, northern Syria.
