Manitoba and B.C. are the latest provinces to implement vaccine passports, which would see people having to show proof of full vaccination in order to access various non-essential services like going to a sporting event or dining at a restaurant.

But so far, there are only three provinces utilizing such a program and while some may be under discussion in other regions, others are showing staunch opposition. In an effort to push for more adoption of such a system, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau pledged $1 billion for provinces to help develop and implement passports.

The system does appear to be a nudge for more people to get vaccinated, with bookings for a vaccine appointment in B.C. rising by 124 per cent. But as Jamie Mauracher reports, not everyone is open the idea.
