The Toronto Raptors took questions from the media following their Game 6 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday evening.

Star forward Pascal Siakam reflected upon a slow start to the season following his off-season surgery.

“Yeah it was super tough and coming into the season, I had a lot of ambitions and goals and things I wanted to accomplish and for me personally – I’m grateful,” Siakam said.

Meanwhile, all-star guard Fred VanVleet looked back at his trouble with injuries but was feeling optimistic the Raptors have a lot of the right pieces in place to contend next season.

“It’s time now. It’s about as much building as we want to do. I think we have the pieces, and now how do you put those pieces together. Can you add a few pieces around the board? And I think we can definitely get better from within,” VanVleet said.

Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes says he’ll spend the off-season working on his game. “Just keep working out. Keep working with the developmental guys that I’ve been working with,” Barnes said of the off-season in front of him.
