Toronto police say they are seeing a major rise in hate crimes following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel and the latest numbers are shocking.

The right to protest is a core value in a democracy. Since last October street demonstrations have become more frequent and in some cases, involve more conflict.

Toronto police say they’ve seen a 93-per cent increase in the number of hate crimes compared to last year.
