A tornado that swept through the city of Gaylord, Michigan on Friday left at least two people dead and 44 injured, with searches still ongoing for one person unaccounted for, according to state police.

According to Lt. Derrick Carroll, both victims were in their 70s and one was found in a mobile home park. He said a curfew will again be in place Saturday during the "hours of darkness" as power is out in the city's downtown.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency on Friday to allow for all state resources to be made available as the city tries to recover from the storm.
